Comprehensive Eye Exams

Our comprehensive examination includes testing of visual acuity and refractive error, eye muscle balance and focusing, glaucoma testing, sensory and neurological evaluation, and thorough examination of the internal and external health of your eyes.

Regularly scheduled eye exams are critical to maintaining good health. In addition to testing your vision and eye health, a comprehensive exam can also detect systemic diseases such as diabetes, stroke and high blood pressure. These conditions can lead to serious health problems and can often develop and progress without symptoms, therefore early detection is very important. We recommend a comprehensive eye examination once a year as part of a proactive approach to your overall health.

Optomap Exam

As a part of our continued efforts to offer you the most advanced technology available, we offer the Optomap retinal exam as part of your annual eye health evaluation.

The Optomap provides an in-depth view of your retina — the back of the eye where many diseases can occur. It is quick and comfortable, with no side effects. The digital images are maintained in your file to allow Dr. Armstrong to track changes and diagnose potential eye disease. This advanced technology is not covered under vision benefits, but can be billed to some medical insurance plans if documenting an existing eye disease.
